The first thing that always comes to mind when I think about fall fashion is plaid. Plaid jackets, plaid pants, and plaid skirts are just a few fall items that I love. Though there’s plenty of other items that come in plaid this time of year as well. It’s always a struggle to dress for fall in Florida since it typically doesn’t get below 70. Though a challenge, I’ve fallen more in love with fall fashion since moving back down here. One of my all time favorite purchases has been a plaid mini skirt. It’s pretty perfect for Florida because of the length. Though it is on the thicker side so it could work well in a real fall climate as well. Since I love that plaid skirt so much I decided to rent one from one of my fashion rental services.

A New Plaid Skirt
I rented this Urban Outfitters skirt thinking that it would be at least as thick as the plaid skirt I already own. I was wrong. It was still a fairly thick material but it is not at all the same wool fabric. Which was honestly a blessing because instead of styling this skirt like I would for Florida, I styled it like it was 50 degrees outside. (In case you were wondering, it was not. It was 90 and I was dying). In retrospect, (aka when I wore it not for pictures) it works much better with a mock neck tee and some sneakers. Much like how I styled the wool skirt I own.
Plaid Skirts I Love
There’s no shortage of wool and plaid skirts this time of year. I’ve rounded up just a few of my favorites. They range in price and style so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. (Or you can always rent like me!)
