Fun fact: Green is my favorite color. It hasn’t always been, but since I was around 6 years old it has. So pretty close to always. This spring I’ve noticed a lot of sage green on the market and I am just loving it. Green isn’t a color for everyone, but sage is a beautiful shade that I think most everyone can hop on board with. (So long as it’s not puke green, amiright?) Sage is a pastel shade of green that will work in spring and well into summer. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite sage green items right now below.

Sage Green in my Closet
Even though green is my favorite color, I don’t have a ton of it in my closet. The majority of my green is actually in Lilly Pulitzer prints. (They always have the most perfect prints in green. I wish they would make more). Green isn’t a very popular color when it comes to clothes I’ve noticed. If there’s a dress that comes in multiple colors, it usually doesn’t come in green. Or, when it does come in green it’s borderline puke colored. It definitely is a balancing act on the color scale.
However, this year I have found some greens worth having and didn’t want to let them get away from me before the seasons over. In particular, I was going back and forth on which color to get from the Neely & Chloe x Julia Berolzheimer collaboration. First I ordered the Posey Mist. Then, I couldn’t stop looking at the Posey Thyme and ended up pre-ordering it to arrive in June. (Currently counting down the days till it arrives!)
I also went ahead and ordered this dress that is dangerously similar to the Hyland dress from Reformation (as seen on Julia Berolzheimer herself!) I opted for this version from Nasty Gal because it had the same great puff sleeves and shirring throughout. It even has a bow in the back and a high leg slit that is trademark for Reformation dresses. At a literal fraction of the cost (under $50!) compared to the Hyland dress, it was a no brainer.
