I am patiently waiting for the arrival of Florida’s new best friend, Dorian. This week has seriously been crazy. Though this Labor Day weekend hasn’t exactly gone as planned, it’s still been pretty calm. If you take away the anxiety due to the storm, I might even says it’s been relaxing. Today final preparations have already been made, and I’m just trying to enjoy Labor Day without thinking about what the storm could do. To do this, I’m dressing up as a southern belle in bows and stripes while enjoying some coffee and a cocktail later. I’ll tell you what, it’s working.

Southern Belle in Bows and Stripes
Is this dress not the most darling dress you’ve ever seen? I purchased it from Belk along with the two children’s maxi dresses. At the time I was only searching for those maxi dresses. I ended up buying this dress and some sandals because the price was just too good to pass up. The blue nautical stripes and bow detail in the back make this the perfect preppy girl wardrobe staple. This dress is so Pinterest-able, I have to share two Pinterest inspiration photos that I think fit this look perfectly.
Classy as Pearls
This outfit wouldn’t be complete without pearls. Pearls are an easy way to add class to any outfit. My recent pearl accessory obsession have been bow bracelets, and pearl headbands. Both of which I have neither. It’s an investment I’m looking into though. At least I have the basics covered, a strand of pearls, a pair of earring, and a bracelet. So really, what more do I need to be classy?
I have pearl earrings and bracelets in every color (white, pink, and black) but it’ll probably never be enough! Shout out to my Omi for gifting me all of this. She has gone above and beyond in indulging me with my birth stone. I’ve received at least 4 pairs of pearl earrings and bracelets from her. She is truly amazing and I am so blessed.
