Y’all, I can’t even tell you how long I’ve had my eye on this spring two-piece set from Lilly. I first found just the shorts while on a TJ Maxx shopping trip. I loved them, but was hesitant to buy it for so much knowing it was missing the top. Then, I saw it available in the Lilly Pulitzer after party sale back in August 2019. I passed it up then because I fell in love with a different dress available in the sale and was trying to stick to a one-item splurge. Since then I’ve been on the hunt on Poshmark to find it for at least APS price. I’m glad to report that this spring two-piece set is now mine and cost even less than I expected. Needless to say, I’m elated.
Lilly Pulitzer Kailen Set
If you couldn’t tell, it’s been a whole ordeal to get this set into my closet. It’s honestly been over a year long process but so worth it. I’ve been envying everyone with cute spring and summer sets for the longest time but have never fallen in love with one like this. Sure they all seem to look cute on that person on Instagram or this influencers blog, but they didn’t seem enough like me. So I’ve been patiently waiting to try a set that really spoke to me. This Kailen Set from Lilly is just that. First it spoke to me as just the shorts. Then it spoke to me as a top. Finally it spoke to me as a set and I’m trilled.
Speaking of the shorts and the top in this set, I love getting to have 3 new outfits from one spring two-piece set. And honestly, that’s just a bare minimum of the outfits that I can create with this Kailen set. Pair the top with jeans, shorts, a skirt and the shorts with a t-shirt or blouse. There’s so many ways to wear it and I can’t wait to come up with new creations.
