Striped Tee – Spring and Summer Classic

There’s nothing more classic or chic than a quarter sleeve striped tee. If you don’t believe me, ask the french! The iconic striped tee has been a stereotype for them for years. Since it’s basically summer in Florida, I won’t be pairing it with a beret right now though. (I don’t think wool is very breathable. Especially when it’s 90 degrees). If it’s still in the 60’s and 70’s by you, a quarter sleeve striped tee will be perfect for you. In Florida, I can still rock a quarter sleeve tee. I just have to make sure it’s 100% cotton and not a blend that makes it far too hot for sleeves.

I have a handful of striped tees in my closet now, which is great. But I still find myself going back to this pink striped tee more than any of the others. It’s from J.Crew and such a great classic. The fabric is extremely light and breathable and the light color keeps it from absorbing all the heat from the sun. Last year I wore it pretty much the entire few months I was working from home. It’s just so versatile and the pink is great for spring and summer.

Current Favorite Striped Tees

I really do love J.Crews quarter sleeve tees. They are by far my favorite. Though the price tag doesn’t always agree with me. (I mean really, $30-$50 for a t-shirt? Not my style). I typically only buy the quarter sleeve tees from J.Crew when they’re on major sale or if I find it at TJ Maxx. Otherwise, I love shopping at Old Navy and Target for a striped 3/4 tee. They’re affordable, good quality, and equally as comfortable. Below I’m sharing a mix of my favorites from J.Crew, Old, Navy, and a few other stores. If you don’t already have a striped tee in your wardrobe, it is the perfect staple to add. (And you don’t even need to splurge).
