Summer is so close I can almost taste it. I’m thankful for the beaches re-opening with proper social distancing and more restaurants beginning to open again. It just wouldn’t feel like summer without those things. Hopefully Disney will be opening soon too and my summer can finally be complete (before it even starts!) Regardless of the summer season actually starting or not, my wardrobe has been headed that direction since February. I wanted to share with you probably my favorite summer shift dress. I’m so happy I get the chance to outfit repeat because it has everything I love. A great cut, classic stripes, and even a bow! It’s also on sale right now at Belk, so be sure not to miss it.

Crown and Ivy Summer Shift Dress
I actually bought this dress last summer. While I bought it early in the summer, I didn’t wear it nearly enough. I’m not sure if that’s because I did a lot of shopping last summer, or because I was just waiting for the perfect moments to wear it. Whatever the reason, I’m coming to realize that I can’t wait for moments to wear clothes anymore. If I feel like wearing something, I should just wear it. Who cares if I’m over dressed 99% of the time? I’d rather be over-dressed than under-dressed. In all honesty, this summer shift dress can easily be dressed up or down. Just add some pumps and accessories for a dressed up feel. To wear it a little more casually you can wear it to the beach with a ball cap.
Vineyard Vines Beachcomber Dress
What I really love about this striped bow shift dress is how similar it looks to a Vineyard Vines dress. It’s really almost spot on but the bow is a bit more classic in my opinion. This Crown and Ivy dress also comes in yellow which I love. I debated quite some time last summer between the yellow and the blue. Looking back, I should have just gotten both while they were in my size. Oh well, everything happens for a reason.
