If you didn’t know, I really do love preppy designer brands. Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer and Vineyard Vines are just a few of my favorite designer brands. Unfortunately, I don’t make the kind of money that can afford these brands full price. Which means that I buy these brands on major sale or secondhand months, sometimes even years, after that fashion season has ended. This Vineyard Vines maxi ric rac dress is a prime example of this shopping strategy. It is from the Vineyard Vines 2018 summer collection. Here we are, a year later. Vineyard Vines has teamed up with Target since then, and I finally bought this dress secondhand.…

Pom Pom & Tassel Summer Cami
Keep shakin those Pom Poms because summer ain’t gone yet! I’m sure I’ll say it about a dozen more times between now and winter but, Florida is gonna stay hot for some time still. The end of summer vacation and August may signify cooler fall temperatures for some states, but it doesn’t for Florida. I’m keeping cool and casual in this pom pom & tassel summer Cami. Pom Pom & Tassel Summer Cami This Cami has been on the market for well over a year. In fact, it was last summer that I saw and fell in love with this pom pom & tassel cami. The ruffle detailing and the…

Linen Colorblock Dress for Florida Summers
Summertime is still heating up, and this linen colorblock dress is the perfect thing for it. I found it at TJ Maxx earlier this summer and had to have it. At only $25 there was no way I was leaving without this dress. I wanted to wear it on my Alaskan Cruise because of the pastels, but weather on an Alaskan cruise isn’t exactly sundress weather. However, this linen colorblock dress is perfect for these hot Florida summers, so I’ve had no trouble having excuses to wear it. Sweet & Sexy Bikini at Cocoa Beach
This post is brought to you by: Summer. Summer is my all time favorite season, especially when wearing a sweet & sexy bikini. I finally went to the beach again this weekend and spent time recharging with the sun, sand, and water. Instead of laying out and just lounging, I decided to mix it up from my typical routine. I brought some pens, pencils, paper, and watercolor for the day. My creative juices have been on low lately and wanted to get some back. Of course, a cooler of fruit and drinks came along as well. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day, even though back home it…

Last Minute Patriotic Outfit Ideas for 2019
If you hadn’t noticed, the 4th of July is Thursday. How did this even happen? I won’t sit here brooding over how time has gone by so fast (not that much at least). It’s pretty simple to throw together a patriotic outfit with just a few basics you probably have laying in your closet already. All it takes is a couple splashes of color, maybe a little bit of pattern, and a whole lot of fun. Of course, you can always run out and buy a fun…

Lake Nona Country Club Wedding
This weekend I went to a wedding at the Lake Nona Country Club as a plus 1. Can you believe I attended another wedding? If you can’t, let me refer you back to the weddings in October, March, and April that I attended. The Lake Nona Country Club is very much what I would say is, my taste. It’s modern and elegant, has a grand staircase, and overlooks a lake. However, I now realize that an outdoor wedding in May in Florida is not ideal at all. The only fitting thing about the millions of lovebugs that I killed was their name and a glimmer of sweat is not a…

Orlando Summer Weather
The weather this past week in Orlando has been ah-maz-ing. 80 degrees to some people is too hot, especially in February, but frankly, I’d love if we had this summery weather all year round! Looking ahead at the week, it looks like it will get chilly again (chilly, in the 70’s. Grab your coats!) That’s not going to stop me from sharing how perfect the weather has been, and how great it was this weekend! Clouds can’t keep me down in this heat, and soaking up the sun is just what the doctor ordered for this weekend! Sunday, I grabbed coffee with a friend and then got ready for a…
