What I love about summer is lazy weekends wearing a plain white tee and beach shorts. I’ve just discovered the awe-mazing-ness of beach shorts and let me tell you, they’re magical. Before beach shorts my go to lazy outfit was comprised of running shorts and some random T-shirt that was better suited for painting in than anything else. Beach shorts are basically lounge shorts but they make you look like you actually put on real clothes and didn’t just roll out of bed. A plain white tee and some beach shorts are much more acceptable in public than those pair of pajama bottoms I have that inevitably have holes in them. (I know I’m not the only one).

I know what you’re thinking, what makes any plain white tee better than the other? Well let me tell you, there’s a lot of difference between a Haines undershirt that you stole from your boyfriend/husband and a nice blend tee. Your typical $5 tee will start to get scratchy after so many washes, but with a blended tee you’ll be wearing a soft shirt for ages. I found these Lilly Pulitzer lounge shorts and this t-shirt at T. J. Maxx recently (can you tell I’ve really had a haul from there lately?). With so many fun lounge shorts out there though, you don’t even need a Lilly print to make you bright! What i think is unique about these Lilly Dahlia shorts is the fact that they have some pretty well structured pockets. I’m nothing without pockets.
