I’ve recently fallen into the maxi dress trend. As a petite woman, I used to believe that maxi dresses weren’t for me. Boy was I wrong. This J. Crew dress is the best summer maxi dress of 2019 in my opinion. It’s tiered on the bottom, hits right at the ankles and looks great with sandals or heels.
I suppose the reason I didn’t like maxi dresses is because they used to all go past my feet, even with heels. My doctor says I haven’t grown so I think the shorter maxi, on the verge of a midi, dress is becoming more popular. Maxi dresses also used to be mostly jersey fabrics and just all kind of similar in general. At least, all the maxis in my price range I should say. Now that my price range and designers have expanded, there’s more options for you to find your perfect maxi dress.
The Best Summer Maxi Dress of 2019
I am loving linen dresses for summer, they’re light weight and breath making them perfect for the heat of summer. It hits right at the ankle which helps with circulation and keeps the bottom of the dress a lot cleaner. The slight sweetheart neckline and the tiered ruffle bottom give this dress the perfect amount of femininity. To top it off, it has a belted waist that can be tied into the most adorable bow. I just knew I had to have this dress for the summer. Another thing I particularly love about maxis is they are perfect for the workplace in the summer. Just throw on a cardigan if you want to be a bit more modest at the workplace.
