Wedding Shoes & Designer Look a Likes

I have finally settled on a pair of shoes for my wedding day. I have gone back and forth a few times but decided to go with the more timeless pair. Not to say they don’t have a little bit of a modern twist, but overall they are timeless. I fell in love with two pairs of Jimmy Choos. The Jimmy Choo Sacaria and the Sacora. (Neither of which I can afford. Which is why I purchased some look a likes instead). I love the pearl accents on both of them. To me pearls are timeless and will never go out of style. So even though the center pearl is a little large, I still think both pairs will remain fairly timeless.

Originally I was leaning toward the Sacaria. I loved all the pearls and I prefer a chunky heel over a stiletto. But after trying on the Sacora with my wedding dress, I was swayed. The lace on the Sacora are just perfect for a classic wedding. Though I might change into the Sacaria for some dancing if the stiletto becomes too uncomfortable.

Jimmy Choo Designer Look A Likes

I honestly would have splurged for some wedding day shoes, especially if I knew I’d wear them more than once. I even went into Jimmy Choo and tried on the Crystal Sacora shoes. However, I ended up choosing to find some look a likes instead. Had the lace Sacora been $500, I might have gotten the real deal. The good news is, I found some great options on Etsy that are almost identical to the Jimmy Choos. And they were so cheap I ended up purchasing both the pearl and lace shoes for the wedding! Since then, I’ve also found a dupe of the lace ones at Lulus for even cheaper. I almost wish I had waited.

A note if ordered from this Etsy seller, I measured my foot and used their chart to find my size. I then ordered the exact measurement, which I regret. Had I gone up a half size I would have had more wiggle room. Instead, the all pearl ones I am currently stretching out in the toe. On a positive note, they Etsy seller sells dance shoes, so the stilettos are actually pretty comfortable. Who knows, maybe I’ll make it the entire night with them on.

Other Wedding Shoes I Love

There were plenty of other contenders for wedding shoes, but none of them were exactly what I was looking for. Like I said, I love a good chunky heel, especially for comfort, but nothing stood out to me. There were a few pairs that I liked a lot but wasn’t willing to invest in them just to see if they might work with the dress. I’d rather have something I knew would work and if not, I didn’t spend a ton on.
