    Timeless Spring Wedding Inspo

It’s hard to believe it’s been one whole year since our wedding. It’s seemed like a lifetime and yet no time at all. I’ve shared bits and pieces of our big day throughout the past year, but I think it’s time to have a dedicated post to the big day! To those that have been here, thanks for sticking around. For those that are new, welcome to the party! I hope future brides can use some of our big day for spring wedding inspo of their own. Unlike my Pinterest board growing up, there was no real “theme” to our wedding perse. For the most part, we tried to keep…

    Bridal Styles

I may no longer be a bride, but I still love all bridal styles. (Though depending on who you ask, I could technically still be a bride for up to a year after getting married. Don’t ask me, ask Google). I still find myself drawn to all the white dresses, including gowns. And why should I keep myself from them? Regardless of whether something is considered bridal, a white dress is still a white dress. So even though I am not dressing as a bride anymore, I am still embracing all the white fashion. One of my favorite bridal styles is all over lace. I loved wearing this Bronx and…

Custom Wedding Invitations with Hand Painted Venue

A trend I’ve been obsessed with long before I ever got engaged were custom wedding invitations. I was particularly in love with hand painted images of wedding venues on invitations. To me, they were not only timeless, but a piece of artwork everyone of our guest could keep too. My concern with getting custom invitations done for a wedding was the price. Custom wedding invitations can cost thousands of dollars, and that simply was not in the budget. Luckily, my old co-worker is an extremely talented artist. I asked if she would be willing to paint and design our invitations and was blessed when she said yes. The beauty of…

What to Expect at Wedding Cake Tasting

One of my favorite experiences during wedding planning was wedding cake tasting. It was delicious every time, but there were some things I wish I had known beforehand. Here’s a few things to expect from wedding cake tasting in this little know before you go guide. Know Before You Go: Wedding Cake Tasting Come with an empty stomach – Ever heard the phrase, Eat Cake for Breakfast? This is a good approach for wedding cake tasting. We found it best to show up on a mostly empty stomach. Even though samples are small, there’s a lot to try and you don’t want to fill up too soon! Have an idea…

Mini Moon At Disney World’s Riviera Resort

There is just so much to catch up on post wedding. I’ve certainly been slacking in the blog post category. While photos are easy to snap and share on the gram, blog post take a little more time and thought. While it may take a little more time to put together, I sure have a lot of blog content I can put together. Like our mini moon at Disney.  The night of our wedding we ventured over to Disney’s Riviera Resort for a mini moon of 2 nights. While we could have just “gone home” it was a magical experience to stay a Disney for a couple of nights following…

    Wedding Party Gifts

I am so excited to share this post! I’ve been gathering gifts for my wedding party since Christmas time. I finally got everything that I wanted to include the week before my wedding. Talk about cutting it close. The problem was, I kept thinking of things to give them! But time has run out to buy them more and it’s time to show what I got! I wanted these gifts to not just be for me, but to show my wedding party how much it means to me to have them stand by my side. Disclosure: Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, meaning at no additional…

    Bridal Shower Dresses

I was blessed enough to not just have one bridal shower, but two. Luckily I’ve acquired enough bridal shower dresses that I could have a million bridal showers and wear something different. Like I stated previously, I’m really enjoying this bride to be thing and not documenting it. So the few snapshots I have of my bridal shower dresses in action will have to suffice. I’ve also taken a few other photos of the dresses I wore, just not while at the actual shower. Nonetheless, I’m so glad I got to wear both of these beautiful dresses for a bridal event because they were perfect. Disclosure: Some of the links…

    Bridal Shower to Remember

It should be noted that I’m having way too much fun as a bride to be. So much in fact, that I’ve failed to take photos at most every wedding and bridal event. There’s snapshots taken here and there by friends and family, but certainly I’m not posing pretty for these photos. So while my bridal shower(s) were certainly ones to remember, there might not be the best photos to prove it. None the less, I had to share because my bridal shower completely blew me away. A Surprise Bridal Shower Unbeknownst to me, my maid of honor, mom, and future mother in law, threw me a surprise bridal shower…

    Wedding Dress Fitting Essentials

My final wedding dress fitting is next week. I can hardly believe how fast time has gone and that I’ve already had two wedding dress fittings. I’ve learned that each fitting serves a different purpose. As such, bringing everything you’ll bring on your wedding day isn’t necessary for each appointment. Because of this, I wanted to go through each stage of wedding dress fitting and list what to bring to your different appointments. Not everyone will have their appointments run the same way, but it’s a good place to start that I personally didn’t have at first. Thread & Needle Alterations My bridal shop, One & Only Bridal, referred me…

Wedding Shoes & Designer Look a Likes

I have finally settled on a pair of shoes for my wedding day. I have gone back and forth a few times but decided to go with the more timeless pair. Not to say they don’t have a little bit of a modern twist, but overall they are timeless. I fell in love with two pairs of Jimmy Choos. The Jimmy Choo Sacaria and the Sacora. (Neither of which I can afford. Which is why I purchased some look a likes instead). I love the pearl accents on both of them. To me pearls are timeless and will never go out of style. So even though the center pearl is…
