Netflix and Tim Burton came out with the series Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, it’s been a hit and I’m obsessed. Which is no surprise. Tim Burton is my favorite Director, and one of my favorite artist, ever. So regardless of if anyone else thought Wednesday was good, I was always going to love it. I could go on forever on why Wednesday is amazing. But one of the many reasons is Wednesday Addams outfits. I always wanted to be a “goth kid” in middle school and high school but I never had the courage to take it all the way. I was much more comfortable in my poofy skirts and preppy prints. But watching Wednesday re-inspired my inner emo/goth kid.

While I may not be dressing like Wednesday Addams every day, I’ve loved pulling inspiration from her to create outfits since watching the show. In retrospect, Wednesday Addams has the perfect combination of preppy and goth. Her collars, and classic black and white wardrobe (mostly black) are the great beginnings of a capsule wardrobe. I’m still not sold on lug boots (for myself) but I can get behind the entire Wednesday Addams costume wardrobe. Below are just a few of my favorites from the series, and my own Wednesday inspired outfit.
Black Turtleneck // Check Sweater Vest // Prada Shoes // Black Pants
Velvet & Lace Dress // Stockings // Mary Jane Shoes // Headband
Seeing Jenna Ortega and the rest of the cast from Wednesday take pictures with and hang out with Tim Burton has me replaying the TikTok sound “How does it feel to be living MY DREAM” repeatedly in my head.
