This outfit has really come together this week. How? Well I’ve had the majority of these items in my closet for months. The white eyelet top I got back in fall, the denim skirt I’ve had for years now, and the scarf was just a nice touch to round out the outfit. But then my Neely & Chloe bag arrived and completely set this outfit over the top. I was already in love with this outfit before the bag arrived, but once it got here, I can’t imagine a more perfect first outfit to pair it with. Spring Finds: White Eyelet
We all know how groundbreaking florals for spring are, but have you considered eyelet as an alternative? Most prominently eyelet fabric is found in white. But I’ve seen plenty in navy and black as well. However, when it’s spring and summer, white eyelet is really the way to go. I found this top at Marshalls back in September and have been waiting for the seasons to change so I can wear it. It pairs perfectly with all my printed shorts and skirts. But it also works well with a simple denim skirt or jeans. Now that spring is here, this top will undoubtedly be worn regularly.
Floral Spring Bag from Neely & Chloe
As much as I love my eyelet top, I can’t not talk about this gorgeous bag from Neely & Chloe. They collaborated with one of my all time favorite bloggers, Julia Berolzheimer. Her style is timeless and so feminine. When I saw what they all came up with I couldn’t help myself but buy something from the collection. I don’t usually spend more than $100 on any one given item. But honestly, how many real leather bags are out there for under $100? Not many. So I went ahead and did what Tara Schuster would call “buying myself the f*cking lilies”. (If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it). Sure this absolutely breathtaking bag wasn’t $6 lilies, but I don’t treat myself very often and I do not regret this purchase at all.
