This yellow maxi dress by English Factory has been popping up on every site I’ve shopped since March. There is no denying how gorgeous and beautiful it is. So when I found it on Poshmark for under $20, I had to snag it. Everything about it just screams summer! The bright yellow, the maxi length, and the pin striping make it the perfect dress. For an item that just came out a few months ago, I was shocked to see it on Poshmark so quickly. I certainly have’t seen any other available at that price. In fact, all the others that I do see are marked up than the original. However, after squeezing into this dress like a lemon, I might be able to tell why I snagged this dress…

Yellow Maxi Dress Sizing
I just have to talk about this real quick. The sizing of this yellow maxi dress is bonkers to me. I have a few items from English Factory, that are mostly lose fitting. They’re all in my normal size and still have comfortable wiggle room. So when I bought this dress in the same size I thought there was no way there would be a problem. Well let me tell you, I basically need a corset for my ribs the way this dress fits.
I wish there were some reviews on this dress before I bought it, because I’m seeing that people agree, this dress runs small. Either way, I’ve never been more mortified about getting a dress on in my life. I needed someone else to help me zip it, and I was so worried that I was going to get caught in the zipper. Ouch! However, we now have a system that prevents my skin from getting pinched and gets the dress closed. So just a word of caution, size up in this dress.
Even though the fit is a little tight, I decided not to return the dress. I found it for a great price and I’ll just use this feeling to get me back into my running routine. I’ve been meaning to loose a couple pounds anyways so I’ll see it as motivation instead of mortification. Besides, it really is just too darn cute to let go.
