Baltimore, Maryland Valentine’s Weekend Recap

I just came back from a much needed trip to see one of my favorite girlfriends in Baltimore, MD. I’m really a firm believer in maintaining efforts in relationships. Since she came down to see me for Halloween, it was only right for me to go up there for Valentine’s. Y’all I stuffed my face with treats this weekend and have no regrets. While going out wasn’t key on our list of things to do, staying in was much needed. Not to mention, I love being fat and eating my favorite foods non-stop. Here’s a line-up of where we went to eat out at and what we had eating in. (As well of a list of movies that we got through this weekend).

Baltimore Flight

Breakfast & Brunch in Downtown Baltimore

My friend lives in the heart of downtown Baltimore and I could not get over her amazing city view. I am a city girl through and through but will settle for the suburbs to be closer to the beach in Florida. We walked to breakfast my first morning there and Uber-ed to brunch later that weekend. (My first time in an Uber. Can you even believe it?) I loved how close everything was. If it wasn’t for the cold, I honestly would have walked the entire city had she let me.

Saturday Morning Cafe

Even though I was starving after my flight, I couldn’t finish my breakfast at Saturday Morning Cafe. (Also we went on Friday morning, not Saturday. LOL). My friend swears by the Chicken & Waffles. But I knew I’d be eating a lot of sweets so I opted for something more savory than sweet. (Back away from the French toast Danielle). I got the Breakfast skillet and it was so much food. I hardly ever can’t finish food, but that morning is one of them. It was a skillet with potatoes lining the bottom, veggies and mushrooms in the middle and topped with scrambled eggs and cheese. It was a massive pile of deliciousness. (Looking at the online menu I actually can’t find this item. But it was customizable and I was feeling mushrooms). As I think back, I really should have taken home leftovers. But I couldn’t even eat lunch that day until 3.

The Point in Fells – Baltimore Brunch

Cue the mimosas and French toast because I gorged on both. The Point is located right on the water and seemed like a pretty historic town. The buildings looked all old and colonial, kind of like Williamsburg in Virginia. The best part about The Point though was the 32oz mimosas on Valentine’s morning. And of course, the French toast. I told my friend that I get French toast too often for breakfast and brunch and was going to try something else. But she encouraged me to make it “my thing” and try the French toast at every place I go. (And that’s why I love her). She got the Maryland Crab Benedict and honestly, I kind of regret not getting that. I had a bite and it was mouth watering. I love crab. We walked around the water a bit once they kicked us out. (Something about a wait time and we had been sitting there for over an hour…I don’t know). But we took our 2nd 32ox mimosa to go and called the Uber to head back home.

Valentine’s Weekend Movie Line-Up

We watched a ton of movies over the weekend. Honestly, I’m not sure I’ve watched that many movies in one sitting before in my life. But it was perfect and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  • Easy A
  • The Princess Diaries
  • The Means War
  • 50 Shades of Grey (+ sequels)
  • The Kissing Booth
  • The Vow
  • Honestly, there was more but I am drawing a blank. It was fantastic though and I’d do it all again.
