Craft & Common Coffee

For the longest time I would drive home from work and pass construction of this cute little brick faced wall on Robinson Street in downtown Orlando. “Craft & Common – Opening Soon!” said the signs that went up as I continued to drive by that spot night after night. Of course, I had to look up what this “Craft & Common” place was. They had the cutest freaking website in the world (even though, at the time, their website was also “under construction”). Even with limited information on their webpage I found out that Craft & Common is a coffee shop.

Months go by, I told my boyfriend about it everyday I would drive by it on my way home, and then I finally see that it’s open! The conversations with my boyfriend quickly turned from, “When this place opens we should go” to “WE NEED TO GO”. I really wanted to be the person who discovered this new Orlando coffee shop and share it with the world! Obviously, that didn’t happen. In fact, many of my fellow Orlando Bloggers managed to drop by Craft & Common long before I did. But hey, life is life, you can’t always be the first person, and you don’t have to be. Small important life lesson I learned because it took me months to find the time to get to Craft & Common.

Craft & Common

As you can clearly see from the photos already, it’s the cutest coffee shop on the planet (over exaggerated much?) While it certainly checks the “instagram-able” box, this place is not just for the gram. If you’re looking for a unique new coffee option, or just want to have some really good coffee, this is the place to go. I’ve been a couple times now so I’ve tried a normal coffee and something a little more exotic from the menu and all I’ve got to say is wow. This place is not your typical Starbucks with a million choices but it is good.

Wild Child Latte

Pictured above is one of Craft & Commons most popular lattes, The Wild Child. Infused with rose syrup and topped with rose petals, this latte is a sweet choice for your morning or afternoon coffee. It was especially good on a chilly Orlando morning. Pro-tip from my little sister who accompanied me on this trip, the hot chocolate is also “so good”.

We also all know how I feel about a good cup of coffee. I pray I never stumble on a place that has bad coffee, and if I do, I promise I won’t share it with you. But I’m serious when I say, Craft & Common has the most flavorful black coffee I’ve had in my entire life. The only reason I added some cream and cinnamon is to spice it up for my boyfriend who was also sipping on it (and does not enjoy black coffee as much as I do…it’s a work in progress). We also grabbed a cinnamon roll and had it warmed up. It was no Cinnabon, but it was pretty good. They always seem to have a fresh cake on display to eat as well. I will have to grab a slice next time I go back.

Now you may have noticed on the glass that it says “Craft & Common, Coffee & Goods”. Besides amazing coffee, they sell cute little knick knack items as well. Think Barnes & Noble checkout line. They have Corkcicle tumblers, little plant books, books on healing crystals, the cutest greeting cards. I mean it’s seriously shelf life overload! With the amazing coffee and decor, Craft & Common could leave you feeling like… It was all a dream neon sign
