Going back to my first week of outfits post, I want to try and do one once a month. So far, so good, but I definitely need to step up the game. So with it being the first week of May, let’s dive in to my outfits for 05.02.22! I didn’t have a theme going into getting dressed this week. But clearly, blue reigned king this week. And it’s no surprise as it’s become one of my favorite colors to wear for the past year or so. Another theme throughout this week were my new Sarah Flint Natalie Flats! But more on that later, check out my outfits this week.…

Romantic Dresses to Wear this Summer
After watching the Met Gala red carpet yesterday I am so inspired! The gowns were stunning. Period. While the theme of the Met Gala wasn’t romantic style, I do think that romantic style fits the gilded age fairly well. The gilded age was a turning point for fashion, as well as many other things. But as fashion is notorious for doing, it pulls from other eras. Fashion never really goes out of style, but cycles and refreshes. Which is exactly how I feel about modern romantic style & dresses. It pulls from the past and showcases it in a new way. The bustle of the gilded age is now a…

Affordable Pants for Work
I have two major problems with pants. First, I find them restricting and uncomfortable. Second, a pair of quality pants seems to cost a fortune. It seems like everywhere I look for pants, they’re never affordable. But the truth was, I really wasn’t looking that hard because I didn’t want to wear pants. I’ve gotten away with not having to buy any pants new for work. Maybe it was because I could sit at my desk all day. There was also that span of time that I worked from home and could wear any dress I wanted. So finding affordable pants was never a priority. At my new job, I’ve…

Make it Pink Make it Blue
I recently ordered two almost identical dresses from Sister Jane. One was from last season and features a pink floral print. The other is from this season and is a blue floral. Looking at the two of them side by side made me immediately think of Sleeping Beauty. When her fairies keep saying: Make it pink. Make it blue. Forest Fauna Dress (Pink) // Forget-Me-Not Dress (Blue) I felt like because these dresses are something out of a fairytale, they needed…

Mexican Style – Trends to Watch
With our honeymoon in Cancun, I went all out on my Nuuly rentals for March. I looked into what characteristics make up native Mexican style and ran with it. Mexico naturally invokes images of sombreros and vibrant colors. It should come as no surprise that these two key elements are in much of Mexican culture and style. The sombrero has a wide brim with the goal of sun protection. And the vibrant colors are often created by or accompanied with embroidery. With those two characteristics in mind, I’d saw I nailed my looks for Cancun. Bright colors and embroidery in almost every piece and impeccable sun coverage. (Plus sunscreen. Do not…

Week of Outfits 3.28.22
We spent the week of 03.28.22 in Cancun for our honeymoon, so my outfits clearly had to match the vibe. I knew I wanted some tropical getaway outfits for our honeymoon, but didn’t want to have to buy all new outfits. So I utilized my Nuuly rental to create my outfits for 3.28.22. For our honeymoon we stayed at the Coral Level Iberostar in Cancun. We splurged on a top corner room with a private plunge pool. The views were breath taking and we loved everything about it. But more about that in another post. This post I just want to share my outfits from 3.28.22 that I wore. Like…

Wedding Week Outfits 3.20.22
The week of 3.20.22 was jam packed full of bridal and wedding outfits. To say it was a big week is truly an understatement. The past two weeks have been filled with so much joy and I’ve been spending every second soaking it all in. So while I apologize these wedding week outfits are late, I’m actually not sorry at all. For all the future brides, I hope these outfits inspire you. AND that you choose to soak in all the joy during and following your wedding week. Spring Blazer in Blue Floral
Spring has officially sprung! While Florida has enjoyed warmer weather for a month or so now, other places are still experiencing some colder temperatures. Regardless of whether it is hot or cold during this spring season, a floral blazer is a great addition to your wardrobe. Floral Blazer // Tank // Jeans // Similar Shoes // Purse I’ve never been a huge fan of an oversized blazer (pun intended). Mostly because I thought it would consume my petite frame. Even when…
