Wedding Party Gifts

I am so excited to share this post! I’ve been gathering gifts for my wedding party since Christmas time. I finally got everything that I wanted to include the week before my wedding. Talk about cutting it close. The problem was, I kept thinking of things to give them! But time has run out to buy them more and it’s time to show what I got! I wanted these gifts to not just be for me, but to show my wedding party how much it means to me to have them stand by my side.

I love the idea of a getting ready outfits. Whether it be a robe or pj’s. But I know that is a gift that’s really more for me and my vision. Because of that I really went with my preferences for the getting ready looks provided. I love how luxe satin looks. However, something I noticed with my own satin robes is that they don’t stay tied very well. I didn’t want this to be a problem for anyone, so I opted for satin pajamas. Something that I wanted to do for each of my bridesmaids was have their getting ready outfits match their dress for the day. So I coordinated colors and some slippers with what color(s) their dress was. Needless to say, I’m in love and I can’t wait for the getting ready photos to come back!

A Special Wedding Party Gift

The number one gift I struggled to find was a custom engraved necklace. This sounds easy right? A letter, a name, pretty standard stuff to get engraved. But I wanted a symbol that I have been using through my wedding to be engraved on these necklaces. The gorse flower represents love in all seasons, since it blooms through winter snow and summer heat. When I first found out about the gorse flower I immediately knew I wanted it incorporated into my wedding. However, the yellow flower just did not go with my color scheme. So I used a vector and added it to the back of my invitations. This small incorporation was just perfect for me. I didn’t need it to be so in your face that everyone knew, so long as I knew. I wanted this same symbolism to translate to everyone in my wedding party and I finally found someone that would do a custom engraving of a gorse flower. They turned out so beautifully and I even bought one for myself.

Mother’s & Grandmothers Gifts

Both my mom and Michael’s mom and his Nana got ready with us the day of the wedding. They got their hair and makeup done, and I didn’t want them to feel left out of the getting ready photos. So I bought the moms matching robes and Nana a housecoat. They also got the custom gorse necklace and a handkerchief for any happy tears that were shed.
