Dolce and Gabbana Dress Look-A-Like

Not only is dressing up every day keeping me motivated while I work from home, but it’s giving me some daily joy. This past week in Florida has been something miserable. The weather is gross with storm clouds brewing all morning, which then leads to hot, humid, partly cloudy afternoons. Not exactly the type of weather worth dressing up for, but I’m doing it anyway. It’s been a challenge to take photos in this type of weather. However, getting a good shot makes me smile just as much as if I were dressing up for a normal day. Today I’m sharing a look-a-like Dolce and Gabbana dress that I’ve come to love.

Dolce and Gabbana Dress Dupe from Amazon

I found this dress while Amazon dupe hunting awhile back. It doesn’t have an exact match to a real Dolce and Gabbana dress, but it sure looks like it could. I’ve really been loving tile prints this spring, which is something I would say Dolce and Gabbana specializes in. Unfortunately, Dolce and Gabbana doesn’t specialize in fitting my price range. (Anyone want to buy me a $1,000+ dollar dress? Ha!) I’ve been finding gorgeous tile prints at online boutiques and as you can see, even on Amazon, so I guess it’s ok if I don’t have the real thing. Actually, it’s really ok that I don’t have the real thing. I saved so much money.

Getting the Shot

Like I mentioned before, the weather in Florida has been miserable. When you add in the fact that the forecast also never seems to be right, I’m jumping at any dry moment to get photos. For instance, when I took these photos I was trying to wait for some sunlight, because the forecast said there would be rain the rest of the day. As it got closer to the time it said the rain would be coming I got antsy and took photos with the muggy sky anyways. Only to find out that the rain would be completely gone by 12:30pm and the sun would come out. Oh well I guess, no use re-shooting 500 photos to get better lighting. As Tyra would say, you have to work with what you got! If that means crazy wind, a muggy sky, and a few moments of drizzling, then you do it. (Thanks America’s Next Top Model re-runs). Regardless of the weather, I am pretty happy with the way these outfit photos came out. Certainly they aren’t the best but it could have been a lot worse.
