Earlier this week, I shared a much more casual look for Valentine’s day, but today I’m sharing something a little more upscale. While one end of the spectrum is to rock a crewneck sweater, this is the complete opposite and can be used for any “fancier” plans you may have coming up this Valentine’s Day.
I personally think fit and flare dresses are flattering on every body type and this color block dress especially so. The first block of color ends right at the natural waist, which helps give the illusion of an hourglass figure. This is enhanced by the black color block at the waistline, which also makes it appear smaller. The fashion gods could not have structured a dress more perfectly than this. To top it of, it is the perfect combination of colors for Valentine’s Day! It also matches the color of the clutch that I bought for that wedding back in October. This clutch also is perfect for Valentine’s because hello it says “amour” on it. (If you didn’t know, that means love. About the only word I learned in Latin was “amo” so that’s the only reason I could discern that).
This dress is from a past Kate Spade season, which you know I did not spend full price on. I scored this dress from Poshmark for under $40!!! Yes, that does deserve 3 !!! A band new Kate Spade dress for under $50 is amazing. This is why I keep recommending Poshmark to you guys because the things you find are just mind blowing. I’ve linked all the Fiorella Kate Spade styled dresses on Poshmark that I could find that are currently available. I’ve also linked some similar color block dresses that are perfect for Valentine’s Day. I hope y’all enjoy! Au revoir!
