Do you ever have those days where you just want to dress up? That’s been me lately. While I could spend just about every day dressing up for work, most of the time I just don’t want to. I’m not sure why it is but work and playing dress up don’t work together in my brain. Instead I choose a day off or weekend and decide “Yup, today is the day I’m going all out“. A prime example of this is back in my college days. I had Fridays off and one Friday I woke up and said “I’m gonna wear a dress” and had literally no place to go. Anyways, what better day to get fancy in fall than today?
How to Dress Fancy in Fall
For those who live farther North than Florida, you may find it hard to dress fancy in fall. However, here in Florida that’s not a problem. Regardless of the weather, I find fancier clothing easier to add layers to than most everyday options. Items like tights, full capes, and fur muffs come to mind when the term “fancy” is used with cold weather. Because of that, this outfit should be fairly easy to adapt for anyone seeing temperatures under 70 degrees. Regardless of the temperature, I think a midi skirt is perfect for any fall wardrobe. Since midi skirts cover more of the leg, it makes sense that they’d be worn in fall.
Bow Midi Skirt
I bought this skirt for my Spring Dapper Day costume this year and absolutely love it. Not only is it super cute and flattering, but it was extremely affordable. This skirt is from Amazon and after reading just two reviews I was convinced this was the skirt I needed. It is honestly the perfect Disney skirt because of all it’s retro Minnie Mouse vibes. You may recall seeing me wear it to Galaxy’s Edge as well. Besides wearing this skirt to Disney, I’ve worn it to work and around town on the weekends. It can be played down (as seen in examples above), or worn for this random fancy in fall occasion. Regardless of how you may choose to wear this bow midi skirt I highly recommend it. It is the perfect skirt to wear for the upcoming holidays.

I love the mustache purse and the dress!! Such a cute outfit combination, and perfect for fall (even in this hot weather!). How do the heels fit – are they comfy to walk in? I’m looking at the pink ones because I already have two pairs of black heels, but might need a pink pair. 😀

They aren’t terrible to wear but they certainly aren’t my comfiest ones either. I can get a few hours in before I need to take them off. I wouldn’t recommend for all day wear sadly.

Okay, thank you! Good to know. Maybe I’ll check them out for dinner or a lunch date. They are super cute!
