I’ve mentioned it here and there that I’ve started to watch Gossip Girl. While I haven’t made it very far, I’ve made it far enough to realize that Blair Waldorf & I are on the same style page. Don’t misinterpret me here, I’m not saying that we dress the same. (Some of her outfits are atrocious). Rather Blair and I pull from the same style sense. To prove it, I’ve gone ahead and put together a few outfits from my wardrobe that Blair Waldorf would totally wear in Gossip Girl.

The Basic’s of Gossip Girl Style
Blair Waldorf’s style can be categorized as classic, but with a little flair. Things Blair would never wear? A t-shirt for one. She’s always put together (even when her outfits are a little too out there for my taste). Of the many elements in Blair Waldorf’s style, there are a few things that never fail to make an appearance. Once you have these items you can take any “ordinary” outfit and turn it into a Blair Waldorf outfit worthy of Gossip Girl.
- A headband.
- A voluminous skirt (the more poof, the better).
- Bows
Starting with these three Blair Waldorf basics will quickly set you on the path to becoming a part of the NYC elite. (Much like Jenny tried to be). My best tip when trying to emulate Blair is don’t go too over the top. There were times that seriously had me questioning what the costume team was up to behind the camera.

Creating Blair Waldorf Inspired Outfits
It wasn’t hard for me to pull out all I had that screamed “Blair” from my closet. Kate Spade Dress? Done. Patterned shirtdress? You know it. Full skirt with bow waist? Of course. Top it all off with a headband and a quick hairstyle change and I do have to say, I think I nailed some of these looks.
