I tried a similar look back in October when I was attempting to replicate some northern fall styles. It turned out…okay…but was a bit too trendy for me. A hoodie sweater under a blazer is my attempt to make it a bit more my style while still pulling from street style. I wouldn’t say I have anything wrong with trendy street style, it just doesn’t always align with my personal style. However, I’m wanting to broaden my horizons and not limit myself to just one style. While I love classic pieces and preppy styles, I know I can style so much more than that with what’s in my closet.

Layering a Sweater Under a Blazer
I could really take all the trendiness out of this look by just layering a knit sweater under a blazer. But the point is to push myself out of my comfort zone. So I grabbed my favorite hoodie from Target that I picked up during quarantine. I like this hoodie because it’s a classic cut. It’s slightly longer in the back and has splits at the sides. It also doesn’t have a front pocket which I think makes it more sleek. Next up was finding the write blazer to go over this hoodie. I ended up picking an old one that I also got from Target. Since I moved back to Florida after college I haven’t gotten much wear from this blazer. It’s made of wool which means it’s thicker than my other cotton blazers. Since it’s technically fall though I pulled it out for this look. Hopefully next month we’ll experience fall for a few weeks instead of those few days we normally do when it’s actually fall.
