In preparation for the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale that is happening right now in stores, I’ve worn my Lilly Pulitzer Swim. I’m hoping there will be a ton more Lilly Pulitzer Swim on sale during the APS. Currently, their preview includes one swimsuit that will be on sale for $59. The Flamenco Swimsuit wasn’t released at the same time that this bikini was, but fingers crossed the tropic string bikini will be included in the sale as well! I visited my local Lilly store earlier this morning and saw the following Lilly Pulitzer Swim on sale all for under $70! I’m very hopeful that it will be included in the online sale starting Monday as well.
This Lilly Pulitzer Tropic String Bikini is from the first “official” swimsuit launch that Lilly had back in 2018. (They has a swimsuit line when the collaborated with Target back in 2014). I’m absolutely in love with the print Shady Lady. I found it at Marshall’s with a TON of other Lilly Pulitzer swim. If you didn’t know, Marshall’s and TJ Maxx are owned by the same company. Both stores are great places to find discounted Lilly Pulitzer. Marshall’s will also be launching online shopping by the end of 2019! I’m beyond excited to see how it works. If it’s anything like Shopping TJ Maxx online, it should be a thrill!
I currently own two Lilly Pulitzer bikinis and adore them. With all the swimwear I own though, it can be hard to rotate through it all. For instance, this particular bikini, I bought back in June. I’m just finally getting around to wearing it! I had hoped to wear it at some point on my Alaskan Cruise but…let’s be honest. At least I’m getting to enjoy it now!
It’s Still Summer in Florida
It’s officially the time of year where I want to unfollow every style blogger because looking at them gives me a heat stroke! I really wish I was kidding but I physically start sweating more when I see people wearing layers. I mean, for God’s sake, I’m sitting outside in Lilly Pulitzer Swim enjoying the calm after the storm! It especially bothers me if they say the picture was taken in Florida. You should NOT be putting on a long cardigan and boots right now. I’m sure doctors would highly advise against it.
Don’t get me wrong, I get it. We all want to follow the trends, and right now the trend is fall. I fall (no pun intended) into the trend trap too. Trends are what make sales, and even if you’re not greedy it feels good to make a sale. But can I tell you something? If you’re blogging for Florida and you tell me you’re wearing a sweater, I know you’re dying. To me, you’ve just lost your credibility. Unless you literally say, you’ve given yourself a heat stroke. Even then, if you blog for Floridians, that’s not what we’re interested in. Sure I blog now, but first and foremost I’m a blog follower. And as a follower I’m so over it. I apologize for my rant and I know I rant about it every fall season, but bloggers aren’t a department store. Push Halloween stuff, but please peel off the sweater.
