If you couldn’t have guessed will all the times I’ve mentioned this summer picnic dress, I adore it. It showed up in my 4th of July dress picks, it showed up in my 4th of July sales, it showed up in my online boutiques list, it’s everywhere. And don’t think you’re gonna stop seeing it anytime soon. Summer Picnic Dress
This English Factory dress is from the Blue Door Boutique, which has easily become one of my favorite boutiques this year. For obvious reasons, the name of this dress is the “Picnic Dress”. It features three gingham colorblock panels that are just darling. It has a country bumpkin, or Dorothy from the wizard of oz vibe. The best thing about this dress? (at least, in my opinion). It has pockets! I was literally ecstatic when I found out it had pockets. Franky, this is a feature on dresses that not enough people market. For me, pockets are a total selling point. Because this summer picnic dress has the red, white & blue theme, I decided to pair it with my American Flag Jack Rogers. It is still July after all, so why not be patriotic?

The one thing that really makes this dress stand out isn’t the gingham print, but the color-blocking. Colorblock can be a total hit or miss. For example, if it’s done wrong it’s done really wrong.
