Pumpkin Patch

Seeing how today is Halloween, it is only fitting that today’s post be about my trip to the pumpkin patch. While Central Florida has tons of amazing pumpkin patches, I struggled to find one that covered two key elements:

They were free to enter (this means free parking and free exploration of the patch. Obviously, paying for a hayride, pony ride, corn maze, and your pumpkin I’m completely ok with).
They were open on weekdays!

I have this thing about overly crowded pumpkin patches. I mostly go to the patch to find a pumpkin (I know, crazy concept), and when there are tall and little people running all around I find it very overwhelming to find the pumpkin that’s right for me. Ultimately that narrowed my choices down to one, The Painted Oaks Academy Pumpkin Patch. What I love about it is, they’re open 7 days a week, and not just weekends! Weekends work for a lot of people, but they also don’t work at all, so it is nice to have all 7 days of the week available to go to the pumpkin patch. Painted Oaks is certainly not your fanciest pumpkin in the patch but it doesn’t need to be. It absolutely encompasses the fall season, filling their tiny grounds full of gourds and pumpkins and exceptional staff. For earlier in the month of October (when it was still scorching hot) they have great shade coverage so even my earlier trip there was pleasant.

While my main purpose of going to the pumpkin patch was to pick a pumpkin, I had to dress the part of “fall chic”. I was super excited for this Wild Fable Skirt from Target to come in both a royal blue and a rust color! The rust color was just what I was looking to add to my fall wardrobe and it did not disappoint. There’s nothing better than orange and navy in the fall, and especially at the pumpkin patch. It really wouldn’t be a trip to the pumpkin patch though without picking out a halloween pumpkin to carve and adding some spooky accessories to this outfit. This Disney Alex and Ani Bracelet featuring the Haunted Mansion ride plaque was the perfect touch to this fall outfit.
