Today I’m sharing one of my favorite dresses to wear in spring and summer. It was one of the first dresses that I bought when I got a big girl job after college. This seersucker dress is from Ann Taylor Factory (which is wear I also got this adorable polka dot dress). I honestly don’t wear it enough, probably because it requires ironing after it’s washed and I’m lazy. However with extra time in the morning I can iron whatever dress I want.

Classic Seersucker Dress
Let it be known, I’m a sucker for seersucker. It’s so classic and reminds me of the Great Gatsby. Put a guy in a seersucker suit or pant and I become the heart eye emoji 😍. No seriously, ask my friends and they’ll tell you it’s true. I don’t just like seersucker on guys though. I love wearing it too. Whenever I see something in seersucker, I typically take the opportunity to buy it. Sadly, that opportunity doesn’t present itself nearly enough. No matter, I love the seersucker that I do own.
For me, nothing pairs better with seersucker than pearls. I always feel like a true southern belle when I wear seersucker and pearls. Though let it be known, I’m not a southern belle in any sense. Florida may be in the south but it’s nothing like the other “southern states”. There’s a reason we’re known for the Florida man and not good ol’ southern hospitality. Even though I’m not a southern belle, I really enjoy dressing the part. I wouldn’t be opposed to attending a debutante ball either.
More Seersucker
For those that don’t know, seersucker is a type of fabric, and not a pattern. It typically is in a stripe pattern but it isn’t required. I wanted to share a few other seersucker items that I love and would be great editions to anyones spring or summer wardrobe.
