Summer Sunhat Perfect for Sun Protection

Where would I be without a sunhat in summer? Probably burnt to a crisp and looking like a lobster. While I don’t typically go shopping with a large sunhat on, it’s not uncommon for me to wear them most every where else. (And I won’t lie, especially for photoshoots). The most appropriate and obviously best place to wear a sunhat is the pool and the beach. It so happens that when you are as pale as me, you burn easily. Even when I re-apply sunscreen I typically end up with the start of a burn. Maybe I just suck as sunscreen (probably) but a sunhat at least makes sure I…

Styling a Boat Hat for Summer

There’s so many summer accessories to choose from, particularly in the hat category. A ball cap, sunhat, and visor are all great summer headwear options. While I love a good sunhat when at the beach or the pool, for more every day I tend to go with a boat hat. (Also known as a boater hat. The “er” really make’s a difference). A boat hat is not to be confused with hat’s you wear on boats (though you can if you like). They are a style that are great both in function and fashion. I find that a boat hat is more appropriate for every day wear because it is…

Floral Bag Starting at Under $50

I am obsessed with my new floral Mini Lady bag from Neely & Chloe. Neely & Chloe teamed up with Julia Berolzheimer to design the most gorgeous floral bag I have ever seen. It comes in the classic Mini Lady shape that I’ve always been obsessed with from Neely & Chloe. I particularly remember the first time I saw Neely & Chloe’s Mini Lady in gingham. It was the first time I had seen or heard of them and I was hooked with just that small look. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve hit “follow” faster on Instagram than I did that day. As cute as the gingham Mini Lady was,…

    Spring Bag in Blue Gingham

While the rest of the US might have had a blizzard last week, Florida did not. We are welcoming much warmer days after having a pretty brutal Florida winter. (At least we are all in that together. This winter has been brutal). The lows are staying at about 60 and the highs are like summer. So to celebrate the arrival of Florida spring, I have a new spring bag that I wanted to share. Fur Trim Shawl and Beret

Alright guys, I loved this outfit so much when I shot it in a round up of Florida winter outfits so I just had to give it it’s own post too. Sadly, this fur trim shawl was not mine. I borrowed it from a co-worker who came in one day and dumped all her capes and shawls on me. She saw me post about my fall cape and decided, I could use all hers for post as well. (All but 1 did make it into a post. Remember that leopard shawl?) Anyways, this outfit is really perfect for Florida winters. It could also work great in colder climates too with…

Over the Knee Boots Outfit for Fall

I’ve been sitting on the idea of purchasing over the knee boots for a little over a year now. I used to think they were totally not my style until I saw Carly style them last year. She literally couldn’t say it more perfectly. First and foremost, I live in Florida so boots just aren’t really necessary. (Other than rain boots that is). I typically choose a pair of flats or Keds to pair with outfits in fall. They check off the boxes for comfort and style. This year I’ve been trying to find other shoes that work for fall. Which meant venturing into the boot realm. When these over…

My Favorite Felt Hats for Women

I’ve been obsessed with hats this year. I mean, I already loved hats but this year they just hit different. Ya, know. 😉 Whatever the reason, I’m enjoying them so much more this year. When fall rolls around I always see fedoras and wide brimmed felt hats come out. Now because I live in Florida I typically don’t think about wearing them myself, but I love the look of them. I just haven’t invested in it because I think, just like sweaters, I wouldn’t get that much wear out of it. Ways to Tie a Scarf in Florida this Fall

What kind of Florida post is this about scarves?! I know. Who would wear a thick, long, heavy scarf in Florida this time of year? No one if you want to avoid a heat stroke. But there are more than just heavy scarves worn for warmth. Today I’m sharing 3 ways to tie a silk scarf this fall. These ways to tie and wear a scarf in Florida can work anywhere it’s warm and really is for all year round.
