My Go To Bags for Summer

Since stores have been reopening I have been completely spoiled with purchases from TJ Maxx. It’s basically habit for me and my boyfriend to go to TJ at least once a week. Unfortunately (well actually fortunately) I’m using all my income to pay off my student loans. Which means my boyfriend has graciously taken over every other purchase an bill that we have. This past weekend we visited TJ Maxx and I got 2 new bags, one of which is perfect for summer. On top of this new bag, I have a few other purses that are great for summer too. I figured I’d share a couple of them with…

Sun Hats Perfect for Summer & the Beach

If there’s one thing I’ve invested my money into since moving to Florida it would have to be sun hats. Funny enough, I still get some heat from family and friends for wearing them. As a little girl I remember going to church every Sunday and having to wear a sun hat. I hated them. They made me feel like a child (said 6 year old me, a child). Now I’m grown up and I’m sure my mom remembers back in the day when I’d fight against wearing them. I’ve come to love especially large sun hats because they protect my skin even more than just sunscreen. Since I get…

What to Wear with Keds Sneakers

For the longest time, Converse were my go to sneaker. I literally wear the 4 or 5 pairs of Converse I wore into the ground. They had holes, they were dirty, and they were 7 years old. Needless to say, when I graduated college I didn’t bother bringing them home with me. They met their new best friend, the trashcan. As sad as it was back then, it lead to my new best friend, Keds sneakers. Now this isn’t to say I won’t ever wear Converse every again (I’m actually on the hunt for a pair). I’ve just only bought Keds and Nikes since graduating. While I love my Nikes…

Running Shoes 101: Finding the Perfect Fit

First I just have to say, I’m so grateful for the positive response to writing this post. I try to keep this blog focused on fashion for the most part and not my other loves and hobbies. However, the occasional workout or Disney post can be fun too. I realize now that, even though I’m going to get a little technical about shoes here, shoes are still fash-on. Though I may get technical please realize I’m not an expert on running or shoes and this is mostly based on my opinions as well as things I’ve read on the internet. So without further ado, here’s all about my favorite running…

Straw, Raffia, and Rattan, Oh My!

Straw, raffia, and rattan. What a mouth full! While I would assume most people know what straw is in one way, shape, or form, raffia and rattan may not be as familiar. I’ll go over quickly what the minor difference is between them all. But most importantly it’s good to know that they are all hot commodities in the fashion world. So here’s the run down, straw accessories is straight forward as it’s strIaw. Raffia is my personal favorite because it originates from the raffia palm. Finally, rattan is more of a type of wicker making it probably the thickest of all the options. When it comes down to it,…

Shoe Trends in Spring 2020 (and Beyond?)

Trends come and go with the years and seasons. While I personally think some trends should have been left in the past, there are some comebacks that I am all for. (PVC shoes? Gross. Chunky/Statement Headbands? Love). Here are my favorite shoe trends in spring 2020 so far. Note: No matter how popular PVC shoes may continue to get I highly doubt I will ever be head over heels for them. As if. In the Market for a New Spring Handbag

Like I mentioned in my spring pastels post, I’m in the market for a new spring handbag. Sadly my purses are all starting to fall apart. Which I guess happens with non leather handbags after a couple of years of heavy use. It might be time to put my big girl pants on and invest in some long term purses. I’d love some help picking because there are just so many cute spring handbags to choose from and I can’t afford them all!
