Timeless Spring Wedding Inspo

It’s hard to believe it’s been one whole year since our wedding. It’s seemed like a lifetime and yet no time at all. I’ve shared bits and pieces of our big day throughout the past year, but I think it’s time to have a dedicated post to the big day! To those that have been here, thanks for sticking around. For those that are new, welcome to the party! I hope future brides can use some of our big day for spring wedding inspo of their own.

Unlike my Pinterest board growing up, there was no real “theme” to our wedding perse. For the most part, we tried to keep it classic and timeless. There was no one color that we chose to stick with, but multiple colors. Our decor was minimal, mostly being flowers and signage. (Our venue really spoke for itself). While there was no theme, we added some of ourselves in the little details. Like using the phrase “Be Our Guest” for the seating chart. (We both are Disney World annual passholders so this was a fun node to our love of Disney). Other than that, we really tried to keep it timeless and classic.

Spring Wedding Colors

Our wedding was on March 24th, 2022, just four days after the official start of spring. I’ve always loved florals and pastels for springtime, particularly sage green and dusty blue. I also love how fresh and timeless blush is. So I wanted to incorporate all those colors into our springtime wedding. Since we didn’t have much decor, we integrated our colors into the floral arrangements and our wedding party looks. One trendy thing I did do was encourage my bridesmaids to look for different color dresses in our color palette and consider a floral print dress. I let each of them pick their own dress but shared my inspiration with them too. All the colors for our wedding party came together beautifully, just like spring when it’s in full bloom.

Getting Ready Spring Wedding Inspo

I think some of my favorite moments throughout wedding planning had to have been planning the getting ready looks and gifts for my wedding party and family. I love putting together gift baskets and this occasion was no exception. At first, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to wear for getting ready, I just knew I didn’t want robes. I chose getting ready looks for my bridesmaids based on their dress color and paired them with fun matching slippers. I had this vision in my head for getting ready photos and they came out better than I could have imagined. Truly, everyone looked like a spring flower on this day, even while getting ready.

Showers Bring Flowers

We stuck with more neutral tones for flowers. Blush pinks, whites, and some sage. We weren’t expecting the phrase “showers bring flowers” to be so real on our wedding day. With the arrival of our florals on the big day also came rain. If there’s one thing you should be prepared for from a spring wedding, it’s rain. We only planned to have the ceremony outside with a backup plan to have it inside if the (inevitable) forecasted rain happened. And it was a good thing we had the backup, because the ceremony coincided with the rain so perfectly. While the setting was a little more cramped for the ceremony, it turned out beautifully. We didn’t pay to have any flowers or foliage in the ceremony space (except for the bouquets) but our florist surprised us with some greenery on the mantle. And the florals on the banister of the grand staircase was another show stopper!

Timeless Wedding Details

Other than our wedding parties outfits, we really kept everything else neutral. Our floral arrangements mostly utilized greenery and a slight hint of blush in the flowers while our wedding signage was classic gold with light blue calligraphy. We also incorporated family photos from members who had passed before our wedding day in the venues library. Overall, it wasn’t a lot, but we felt it was the little details that felt the most personal to us. But enough of me talking, I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
