We all know the typical Valentine’s Day drill. Flowers, chocolates, a romantic candle lit dinner at an over crowded restaurant and maybe even an over-sized stuffed animal. But trust me when I say, the same typical thing year after year gets old (and frankly, one over-sized stuffed animal is one too many). And let’s be real, the guys probably just want whatever gift you give them and not another date they have to pay for. I’m here to offer unique twist on your Valentine’s date this year. Living in Orlando, there are tons of ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your Valentine that don’t involve the typical. I’ve rounded up my favorite Valentines Date Ideas in Orlando to help you make it one to remember.
4 Valentines Date Ideas in Orlando
Cookie Making Class
There are so many cookie making and baking classes offered by The Sweet Chalet. Though they may not be offered on Valentine’s Day, it is offered many other times throughout the month and year. I’m a sucker for cookie making videos (I mean I could literally sit and watch them all day long and not get bored). I’d love to learn how the pros make a beautiful sugar cookies that taste great too! If you want to decorate your cookies at home on Valentine’s Day, this cookie decorating kit is a great alternative. Or if you’re looking for the extra simple way, there’s always one of my favorite Orlando cookie places, Cookie Cousins. I. Love. Cookies.
The Orlando Eye
Truth be told, I’ve never been on the Orlando eye, but I would love too. They have a special package this Valentine’s Day that sounds seriously ah-maz-ing. Chocolate, booze, roses, all while being high in the night sky overlooking Orlando. I mean heck, I’d want that every day! Surprisingly, it doesn’t cost a years salary for either. On the spectrum of overspending for Valentine’s Day, I’d say that the price is relatively good for all you get and the unique experience you have. Even if you don’t do the Love package, the Orlando Eye is a great Valentines Date Ideas in Orlando.
Lake Eola Swan Boats
Lake Eola holds a special place in my heart, especially when it comes to love. Every time I see, drive past, or think about Lake Eola, I always see the rainbow. Lake Eola is, quite literally, a beacon of love. My love for this lake is tenfold now than it was before and it reminds me every day that I am blessed to live in the City Beautiful. The swan boats make for a great evening watching the sunset, and even a midnight stroll around Lake Eola is beautiful and magical.
Lakeridge Winery & Vineyard
Located just a little outside Orlando is the Lakeridge Winery. Any winery is sure to be a hit on Valentine’s Day and wine tastings and vineyard tours are amazing gifts! What makes Lakeridge Winery so unique for a Valentine’s Date is their “Wine & Valentines” party happening on Valentine’s Day! Tickets start at only $20 per couple and in 2019 came with a Vintage Sweetheart Wine Stopper. The tickets sell out fast every year so be sure to check before it’s too late! What sweeter way to say “I love you” then with a bottle of red wine?
