So you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day but your office isn’t really about it, right? Today I’m sharing some “subtle” tips for your #ootd this Thursday that are perfect to get you into the Valentine’s Day spirit. Check out these Valentine’s Office Wear ideas & tips.
Valentine’s Office Wear: Red and Pink
Any combination of these colors, or just paired with a neutral, is the perfect way to drop a hint that Valentine’s day is the best! It’s a fun, peppy way to incorporate festive colors into an otherwise dull, grey, work day. Pink and Red together always reminds me of Kate Spade and her “live colorfully” motto. But if you’re trying to just push the limits of classic workwear on Thursday, a classic pencil skirt in red or pink will do just fine.
Valentine’s Office Wear: Lovely Feminine Prints
A little print never killed nobody! Maybe you have a button down with tiny hearts that is only noticeable up close (with a magnifying glass. Super subtle), or maybe you have heart patches on a cardigan. Either way, these can give you that Valentine’s feel without going over the top. I personally think pale pink bows are a great way to incorporation Valentine’s Day into work wear. Throw in a pink pencil skirt to top it all off and you’re ready to share the love!
Valentine’s Office Wear: Accessories
My favorite word in the fashion book. Accessories. Even men can join in on this one and add some fun socks or tie to their attire for the day. Ladies, a fun pair of earrings, or layered necklace is perfect for this occasion and will elevate your look to the next level.
For Something a Little More Dramatic
Try a tutu, or a bold print of heart’s or “xoxo”. I realize not every work place is going to be ok with a tutu or tulle skirt, but if your employer is open to these festive additions, go for it! Don’t have a tulle skirt? Check out this easy DIY that you can do this weekend!
