West Palm Beach GreenMarket

I was hoping to have gone to the West Palm GreenMartket much sooner than this past weekend. With rain and so many weddings though, this past Saturday was the first and only time I was able to attend the City of West Palm Beach GreenMarket this season. I’d highly recommend going, but seeing as this Saturday is the last one, you might have to wait until next GreenMarket season to go.

What is the West Palm GreenMarket?

The GreenMarket is an enormous farmers market that runs every Saturday in West Palm Beach from October to April. Don’t go thinking the GreenMarket is your typical farmers market though. With over 90 vendors serving everything from pickles and fresh seafood, to iced coffees and crepe’s, the West Palm GreenMarket has something for everyone. Like many people that I’ve told about the GreenMarket you may think I’m exaggerating when I say the GreenMarket is the best farmers market in Florida. But even after just an hour at the market they all understood that if it’s not the GreenMarket, it’s dull in comparison. Below I’m highlighting just a few of my favorite vendors at the market, because really, I love them all.

Loic Bakery

If you’ve followed along Central Florida Chic’s journey since the beginning then odds are you’ve heard all about Loic. Loic is a French bakery located right in the heart of downtown West Palm Beach. It’s atmosphere is amazing but is easily rivaled by it’s food. At the GreenMarket you can order my favorite item on Loic’s menu, a fresh croissant. It will change your life.

Le Petit Pain

Following the bakery trend, Le Petit is another one of my favorite vendors. They offer a wide variety of fresh pastries including my favorite, a mixed berry puff pastry with vanilla cream. Don’t let them sit out for too long though without refrigerating, these babies were made to be eaten fresh

West Palm Beach GreenMarket Mimosa

West Palm Mimosa’s

The City of West Palm Beach always has a mimosa stand right on the edge of the GreenMarket. I have become spoiled to the point that if I don’t have a mimosa in my hand while browsing a farmers market I might as well not go at all. West Palm serves bottomless mimosas for $10 every Saturday from 9am-1pm. If you do it right (and I speak from experience) you can get over 15 refills during the day. Remember, West Palm Beach is in South Florida where it is hot almost all year so beat the heat with bottomless mimosas!

J&J Seafoods

You’ve never had fresh fish until you’ve had J&J Seafoods. From lobster to salmon you’ll discover how fresh fish should taste like. It can be a little pricy but it is well worth it. They’ve recently started accepting card payments at the GreenMarket which is extremely helpful. My favorite thing to buy from J&J Seafoods is the salmon. Salmon is already my favorite fish but wow what a difference it makes when it’s fresh.

Honorable Mentions

A few other vendors that I highly enjoy but just tried for the first time this past Saturday are: Le Coin a Crepe, Laurie’s Pantry, and BMORE Crabcakes. There also used to be an amazing Poke Bowl places that would serve tuna, salmon, shrimp and more in a fresh bowl, but I sadly didn’t see them on the list this season. Here’s to hoping they’ll be back in the 2019-2020 season of the GreenMarket.
