White on White Summer Outfits

If there’s one thing to keep in mind when dressing for summer in Florida, it’s that you should avoid wearing black at all cost. Within a matter of minutes black clothing will absorb the sun and have sweat running down your back. I certainly do not enjoy that feeling. In order to avoid sweating to death at work or during my daily work walk, I’m adapting into wearing lighter colors. Which is why I’m wearing this white on white outfit. It keeps me from sweating like a sinner in church.

Finding a White on White Outfit Can be Hard…

Let me be clear, a good chunk of my wardrobe, particularly my work wardrobe, is made up of black. Therefore, finding pieces to create these outfits was a little bit difficult. However hard it may have been, I did eventually find items that I just love together. And I didn’t just create one outfit that’s perfect for summer, but two. I’m so proud of myself. In these two outfits you’ll find literally all the white separates that I own. How sad is that? Besides black, the rest of my wardrobe is made up of prints. (There’s a reason I’ve worn so much Lilly Pulitzer already this year). So putting together these two outfits is a huge accomplishment.

Wearing Pants in Summer

There are very few times throughout the summer that I will wear pants. Any other time of year (especially in winter and spring) I’ll entertain the thought of wearing pants. Summer however is a different story. Granted, last summer I wore pants for almost a whole week but that was because I was in Alaska and not Florida. White pants are the only pants I would ever dream of wearing in summer in Florida. Anything else will just create unnecessary heat and sweat. I think paired with a crop top they are extra perfect for summer. Wouldn’t you agree?
