This outfit is 100% inspired by a Pinterest Outfit I saw earlier this month. Pinterest has a way of inspiring me to style my closet in ways I’ve never thought of before. I would never have thought to pair a white with black polka dot blouse with a white skirt. (Because clearly that would be too much white. Right, especially after this post. Sometimes I really make myself roll my eyes). Whatever reason I thought I couldn’t pair these two together I was clearly wrong. It turned out better than I could have imagined.

White with Black Polka Dot Style
Before I become completely Lilly obsessed I was definitely a white with black polka dot person. Well, really I was a polka dot person. If it was black and white and had dots, I was instantly drawn to it. Admittedly this has changed over time and not every polka dot that I see I gravitate towards. I’d like to think that it’s because I’ve welcomed a wider variety of prints and patterns into my life. However, it could just be that I’ve become more selective with my polka dot choices.
Polka dots will always be a classic and timeless print. It reminds me of Minnie Mouse and the 1950’s. Even though I’ve taken a step into the larger world or print and pattern, black and white polka dot will always be one of my favorites. And who knows, maybe it’s time to start buying more polka dots again. After all, I think I’ve acquired enough Lilly Pulitzer for the time being. Can you imagine half a closet full of Lilly and the other half polka dots? Talk about a dream come true.
