Here I am, attending another winter wedding as a guest. Winter weddings are really not my thing, even in Florida. However, weddings are totally my thing. While it can be overwhelming to go to a lot of weddings back to back, looking back on them is always fun. Especially when you get to wear a new fancy dress for the occasion. Luckily, the only winter weddings I’ve been to have been in Florida. So there’s no snow and you can get away with wearing just a light overcoat. But today I wanted to share the latest dress I wore as a winter wedding guest & some other dresses that would be stunning as well.

Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
I had the honor of attending my cousins wedding this past weekend. I could tell that my aunt has been excited since I got engaged to see both her daughters wedding and mine come to fruition. Since this was a formal winter wedding I decided to rent a dress from Rent the Runway. I don’t have very many long sleeve formal dresses, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to use my subscription for. Shockingly, this was the first time I have used one of my rental services for a wedding. While I love renting gowns for wearing every day around the house (no lie) it was nice to rent one for an actual event finally.
I ended up renting a Mac Duggal gown with sheer chiffon sleeves. It’s truly stunning and the floral does a nice job of breaking up the black so it doesn’t feel like a mourning dress. (I’m a guest at a wedding after all, even if it is in winter). My mom also rented a dress for the occasion and I think she is just absolutely stunning. She probably doesn’t think so and would tell you she needs to loose a couple pounds but I think she looked great! It’s not about what size you wear, but how the dress fits you. I’m a firm believer that you should never try and make yourself fit the clothes but make the clothes fit you.
