Button Denim Skirt and T-Shirt

Today I’m sharing my version of “super casual”. 9/10 you’ll find me in a dress. Whether it’s summertime or in the cooler winter months, dresses are my go to. I find them easy because you don’t have to think about what to pair it with. As easy as they are, they’re also extremely put together. Which is why most of my closet is made up of dresses. Today I wanted to share with you my laid back outfit. It includes a button denim skirt and t-shirt and is a great outfit for casual Friday’s. (However, if I was going to wear it to work I’d wear my work shirt instead of this tee).

The Button Denim Skirt is a Twist on a Timeless Piece

Denim skirts are a wardrobe staple. It doesn’t matter where you live, at some point you’ll need a denim skirt. They are cute, casual, and completely timeless. I honestly wish I still had my denim skirt from middle school because that was the skirt to have. Times have changed since then though and I definitely went through a “jeans only” phase for a year or two. It was short lived and I quickly moved back to skirts in my later high school years. Throughout all that time I was convinced denim skirts were so a thing of the past. Then in comes the button denim skirt. Certainly longer than the one I remember wearing in middle school and with a lot more structure. That was the end of my”denim skirts are dead” thinking. Now I can truly see how timeless they are, even with a minor twist to them.

Blast from the Past

I’ve worn this skirt numerous times on Central Florida Chic and wanted to just re-live those moments together. There is no combination with this skirt that I’ve ever not liked so maybe I should start taking more mirror selfies when I wear it and post in on Insta.
