High Neck Tee & Utility Skirt Trend

Pull out that high neck tee Floridians because this fall day is HOT! I know my friends in Virginia are having fluctuating weather between fall and summer. However, here in Florida, we just have summer. No fluctuations. Fall colors and accessories are really the Florida fashionistas best friend (if she doesn’t want heat stroke that is). I’m here to prove that the perfect Florida fall outfit does exist! How? By sharing this look that I’ve worn not just now in fall, but back in August too. 

The High Neck Tee

I originally bought this tee for my Spring Dapper Day Look this past year. It was just perfect for being a Mouseketeer. The tee is slightly cropped which I thought I wouldn’t like. However it works very well with many of my high waisted items. It would also work great with my high waisted embroidered Mickey Mouse Shorts. I loved wearing this utility skirt & tee combo. Even though I first wore it over the summer, I see how it totally works for fall. White & burnt orange are a great fall color combo. It works especially well if you aren’t a fan of the black and orange trend (which can be too Halloween for some). 

Utility Skirt Trend

I’ve been on the utility skirt train now for over a year. You know what I love? Pockets! The utility skirt offers so many pockets and they’re usually pretty deep. If you say all that and don’t have a picture, you may be imagining Mario and Luigi. Clearly though, the utility skirt is actually very cute. And with a belt you can easily add a feminine touch to it, like a bow. I found this particular skirt from Target last year so sadly it is no longer in stock. However, a very similar version from Forever 21 is on sale right now for only $9! There’s also one available with a paperbag waist like mine from Revolve that is a little bit pricier.
