There’s a handful of things I absolutely love about summer. The warmth, the constant sunshine, the pool, and summer jumpsuits. Truth be told, I only had one jumpsuit for summer up until about a week ago. Since my recent discovery that they don’t actually look bad on petite women, I’ve been venturing to find more. Sadly my jumpsuit preferences are very specific. Which means I only have 3 jumpsuits, one of which is for winter months. (Velvet in summer? Bring on the sweat!) The other two, a gingham jumpsuit and a striped jumpsuit, are the exact same style. When I said specific, I did mean it. However, I’m willing to venture outside of my comfort zone. Though that may need to wait until dressing rooms begin to open again. For know, this classic halter jumpsuit from J. Crew will do just fine, especially in multiple prints.

Striped Jumpsuit Find for $6!
This striped jumpsuit was actually released 2 years ago from J. Crew. It was so popular that they brought it back last year but with a gingham twist! While this striped jumpsuit is not on J. Crews site this year, it is on J. Crew Factory’s site in a lighter blue. It’s still a bit out of my price range, even with discount codes. But get this, I found this jumpsuit at TJ Maxx last week for under $6! Clearly I HAD to buy it. Admittedly, it is not my size, mostly in the armpit area. However, I’ve pinned it for this post and will sew it here in the coming weeks. (I’ve loaned my sewing machine to my mom for the time being so she can make mask). But really, how was I going to not buy this at that price? Luckily it was close enough to my size that I knew (even without trying it on) that alterations would be minimal. So if you’re headed to TJ Maxx soon, be sure to check out the jumpsuits near the swimwear section. And maybe also the dress section…just to be safe.
