If you hadn’t noticed, the 4th of July is Thursday. How did this even happen? I won’t sit here brooding over how time has gone by so fast (not that much at least). I’ll be sporting my red, white and blue patriotic outfits all week and wanted to share a few last minute ideas with you. It’s pretty simple to throw together a patriotic outfit with just a few basics you probably have laying in your closet already. All it takes is a couple splashes of color, maybe a little bit of pattern, and a whole lot of fun. Of course, you can always run out and buy a fun Old Navy 4th of July tee or a red, white, and blue dress.
4th of July 2018
I adore my 4th of July outfit from last year. A skort is a great way to look chic and be able to run around or sit on a blanket for the fireworks. Some of my favorite adult skorts are from Lilly Pulitzer and Crown & Ivy. Half the time you can’t tell they’re even a skort. A blue or red skort and a fun printed top or t-shirt make a great pair for the 4th of July.
Patriotic Outfit: Labor Day 2018
My Labor Day look from last year is a great way to be patriotic at a pool party on the 4th. Grab your red solo cup and fill it with sangria because a swimsuit and a hot tub view of the fireworks is an amazing way to celebrate the 4th.
Memorial Day 2019
White pants have become my favorite summer staple (especially while I was on that Alaskan Cruise). Back on Memorial Day is when I first debuted my new white pants from Old Navy. I. Love. Them. I trial ran these pants for these pictures. Meaning I tested how quickly they got dirty. Naturally, I got something red on them within 20 minutes of having them on. Since then I’ve carried around a tide-to-go whenever I wear them. I haven’t needed to use it since that first time. Paired with a striped top (like the one above) or a polka dot top, white pants are great for a patriotic outfit.
