Yesterday was national wear your Lilly day! It correlated directly to the first day of summer because as Lilly said “it’s always summer somewhere!” I’ve created quite the collection of Lilly Pulitzer over the past couple years through buying second hand and shopping the Lilly APS. With so much Lilly Pulitzer to choose from, it was hard for me to pick my favorite item to wear on this summer day. So instead of just picking one look to share with you all, I went back in CFC’s history to round up just a few of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer looks!
Lilly on a Caribbean Cruise
When I went on my cruise last summer I was sure to pack a ton of Lilly Pulitzer. A skort, some shorts, a romper, a dress, I can’t even remember it all! Luckily, I documented the majority of my outfits that I wore at sea so I can keep some track of what I wore.
Lilly Pulitzer’s 60th Birthday
Remember back when it was Lilly’s birthday? You can bet I do! I must’ve changed half a dozen times to celebrate this monumental year for the brand! I visited my favorite Lilly resale store in town, chatted with fellow Lilly lovers, and enjoyed some pretty cocktails all within a few hours. And I did it all in true Lilly fashion, because Lilly Pulitzer isn’t just a brand, it’s a lifestyle. It’s enjoying the sunshine, letting your hair down, and having a grand old time!

National Wear Your Lilly Day, everyday
Let’s be honest, everyday is a great day to wear your Lilly Pulitzer. It’s bright and fun, comfortable and classy, and there’s just not a day that isn’t perfect to wear it. I say instead of national wear your Lilly day we should have a national wear your Lilly year. Or better yet, lifetime!
Best Way to Shop for Lilly Pulitzer on a Budget
As a resort brand, Lilly Pulitzer is a little on the pricer side of my clothing budget. But I’ve discovered a couple ways to get Lilly for cheap and wanted to share them with you. I know we all can’t afford Lilly Pulitzer full price (I certainly can’t), so here are my tips for being able to afford Lilly Pulitzer.
- Shop during the Lilly Pulitzer APS: They will have a ton of “older” styles on sale for more than half off! And really, they’re only from a past 2 seasons or less. You can also find a ton of their basic items on sale (meaning t-shirt dress, colette skorts, and so many more Lilly “basics”).
- Shop Secondhand: Some of my favorite places to score second hand Lilly is Plato’s Closet, Style Encore, and Poshmark. All of these “secondhand” options really mean New With Tags and never worn! - Shop at your local T.J. Maxx: This season has been amazing at T.J. Maxx. I have found a ridiculous amount of Lilly Pulitzer at about 5 different TJ’s in my area. Sometimes the Lilly they sell is still a little out of my price range, but if it’s still there a few later it’s usually on clearance for a much better price.
