Baseball is my all time favorite sport and one of my favorite pastimes. Whether it’s little league, the minors, or the big leagues, I just can’t get enough of it. Not to bring up any tensions but, I’m a die hard Red Sox fan. (No, I’m not from Boston, but I sure wish I was). As summer and baseball season start coming to a close I decided to treat myself with one last summer adventure to a ball game. I traveled a couple of hours from Orlando to Tampa to see the Red Sox take on the Rays!
Ball Game Fashion
My hardest decision of the day was not what to eat, wear or sit, but what baseball cap I wanted to wear. It’s not that I own a lot of Red Sox caps (I only have two with the Red Sox on them). It’s just a hard decision between flashy and traditional Red Sox. Once I finally picked a hat the rest of the day was a breeze,(even with I-4 traffic. My Tampa/Orlando people know what I’m talking about). I had to (of course) wear my Red Sox shirt and I paired it with one of my all time favorite Lilly Pulitzer skorts. And since the Red Sox are America’s team (don’t fight a Red Sox fan on that statement) I wore my American flag Jack Rogers.
With my beer, cracker jacks, and hotdog it was a perfect day at the ballpark watching America’s favorite pastime. Even though we lost, I’m hopeful that Sale will be pitching again soon and the Red Sox will get back into a groove for the end of the season. (At the time of writing I did not know that the Red Sox would indeed become the 2018 World Champions!) Is your favorite summer pastime the ball game?
