My weeks and weekends have been blurring together lately. I can’t keep straight what I did this weekend with what I did last weekend. Mickey’s Not so Scary, Marathon Training, birthday parties, oh my! However, I do know that most of my weekends are filled with some sort of college football. I had the chance to attend a UCF Knights game at Spectrum Stadium in a UCF Cabana! It was a football experience I won’t soon forget and was blessed to have.
UCF Cabana Food
When you are in a UCF Cabana there is an array of food available to you back inside the stadium. The owners of the cabana we stayed in told us that it is always something different (and not always very good). They have the basics, hamburgers and hotdogs, every home game though. At the game we attended there was also chicken wings, salad, some sort of pot roast, and of course dessert! As most stadium food goes, it’s not 5 star. But it’s included with the Cabana and I certainly was not going to complain about free food! Not to mention, you can go back for as many servings as you’d like. You could also pick up water and soft drinks here as well.
UCF Cabana Drinks
Inside each cabana are two coolers that can be filled with just about any drink you can think of. However these coolers come with a price separate from the free food and soft drinks. Our host generously filled these coolers with everything from beer to white claws and everything in between! You know certainly can’t go wrong with that. What would a football game be without a cold beverage in your hand?
Orlando’s Home Town Team – The UCF Knights!
Being on the field the entire game was pretty exhilarating. For someone who doesn’t consider herself a fan of the UCF Knights, you would think I would be so into the game. When you’re in a UCF Cabana on the field though, that changes. Depending where the cabana is located, you get to high five the teams, cheerleaders, and anyone else that is walking on the field! We were in the end that hosted multiple field games during commercial breaks and where the Knight came out before the game. There was just no way I couldn’t be a UCF fan that night! Good thing we stayed till we did, because a missed touchdown pass at the end of the game came flying into our cabana. And really, that was awesome!
If you ever get the chance to enjoy a UCF Cabana, I would highly recommend it. Maybe the food isn’t from a 5 star restaurant and maybe you hate the UCF Knights, but it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. Any other schools have Cabanas I can visit? I wanna try them all.
