I’ve been turning this project over in my mind for a while now. How I wanted to start, what I’ll do next, what I want it to look like. So many thoughts that I just couldn’t get together. But finally after months of sitting on it, I’ve decided what my first DIY custom clutch will look like. Here’s the steps & files to search for to make your own using Cricut.

Custom Clutch with Cricut
First and foremost, I wouldn’t even be attempting this project without a Cricut. If you like to craft, or create unique fashions, a Cricut is an invaluable item to have. I’ve used it to make many t-shirts, pillow cases, cards, and so much more. It’s a jack of all trades. Here’s what you’ll need to make this clutch.
You can choose any clutch you’d like. I went with a light pink stripe for Valentine’s day. It’s not like any clutches I currently own and I like the classic stripes. I really love the way it turned out, especially for Valentine’s Day. However, I see myself in the near future purchasing a tortoise print clutch to put my name in gold on.
Steps to Creating Your Clutch
This custom clutch is so easy to do. You don’t even need personalized files to do it! (That is an option though if you know how to create your own SVG files for Cricut).
- Find a heart cut-out in the Cricut library.
- Choose a font you want your name in.
- Cut heart & name on vinyl.
- Remove excess vinyl.
- Use Cricut transfer tape to create cling
- Clean acrylic clutch.
- Position vinyl.
- Place and Secure.
