Vanessa’s Coffee Shop – Best in Orlando

Y’all, what a trip Vanessa’s Coffee and I have had. Let’s throw it back to 2020. Me and my blogger friend, Kelly, were supposed to meet up at Vanessa’s Coffee Shop back in March. Right before Covid hit. For whatever reason (probably not meeting some code requirements) it had opened and closed very quickly. So as I pulled up to the shop right before Kelly, I was greeted with a “closed” sign. We ended up meeting at a nearby Panera for coffee instead.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I’m tapping through Insta stories. All of a sudden my other local blogger pops up tagging Vanessa’s Coffee Shop. Of course it had an Insta worthy facade so I had to check it out. (Even if the food isn’t good. If it’s “gram worthy” I gotta go. Hasn’t happened to me yet. I loved Dreamer, Loic Bakery, and Craft & Common). While looking up where Vanessa’s was I finally realized this was the coffee shop Kelly and I were trying to meet up at! (Also shout out to Kelly, she is so on top of new coffee places in Orlando). Now here we are, Michael and I tried it out for ourselves and once again, it’s more than just for the gram.

What to Get at Vanessa’s Coffee Shop

Here’s a quick breakdown of what we had and recommend:

  • Coffee – 3/10 (Mediocre. Not for a coffee snob. But it is caffeine).
  • Cream Cheese French Toast – 10/10 (Cannot recommend enough!)
  • Avocado Toast – 8/10 (I like LOTS of avocado. This had enough but I just wanted more).
  • Overall Score – 7/10 (Points deducted for coffee not being great but the food we had truly made up for that!)

Vanessa’s actually has two locations, one in St. Cloud and the other in Lake Nona. However the menus are pretty similar. (You can check out the entire menu for both here). Since I’m a black coffee kinda girl I tried out thier Americano. It was decent but certainly not my favorite. (The advantage of black coffee is you can really taste the difference between quality stuff and Folgers bought in bulk from Costco. This wasn’t Folgers but I’ve had better black coffee elsewhere). Michael picked up Cappuccino and it was fine as well. Not the most amazing coffee we’ve had but…lets talk food.

Not only are the prices like amazing, so is the food! I couldn’t decide between being good and just getting avocado toast, or being bad and getting the heavenly sounding french toast…so we picked up both! I had the cream cheese french toast and I am still drooling. It was so much food that I couldn’t finish it. I regret not taking the rest home with me. Michael got the avocado toast and it was perfectly savory. We will definitely be going back for more of the food.
